Alex Ryan is the founder of The Face Lab Medspa. In the medical aesthetics field, Alex is a highly talented cosmetic injector with a reputation for delivering subtle yet profound effects. She is proactive, meticulous, goal-oriented, and always looking to advance her artistic abilities. She is renowned for her enthusiasm as well as for inspiring and assisting others.

Alex takes satisfaction in her constant self-education and her intention to undergo national trainings. Above all, she prioritizes safety. In addition to having a passion for seeing her patients reach their full potential, Alex adores her job in the field.

Layla Newbill

As the Clinical Operations Manager here at The Face Lab, I enjoy being the first point of contact for clients and helping create a welcoming, organized, and professional environment. Working in a healthcare-focused setting has strengthened my communication skills, attention to detail, and passion for patient care.

I am currently a certified nursing assistant and am in school working toward acceptance into a nursing program, with the goal of becoming a registered nurse. I am motivated by a desire to help others, continue learning, and grow within the healthcare field.

April Lacanilao

I'm April, immersed in the medical field since 18—8 years as a CNA, 4 as an LVN, and a Registered Nurse since 2019, specializing in bedside nursing. Despite being told I'd find my niche there, my passion for skincare and self-improvement led me to realize my calling as an aesthetic nurse.

Helping others feel beautiful in their own skin is my motivation for venturing into this niche field, inspired by my own journey from lacking confidence to becoming part of someone else's path to self-assurance.

Dianna Davis

I received my Bachelor of Science from California State University Channel Islands and went on to earn my Master’s in Health Sciences through the Physician Assistant Program at Lock Haven University in 2017.

I began my career in primary care, urgent care, and pediatrics, where I found immense fulfillment in treating the whole person, building lasting patient relationships, and helping patients improve their overall health and quality of life.

While I loved caring for patients on the medical side, I always had a passion for helping people feel confident in their appearance as well—this ultimately led me to pursue a career in aesthetics. Today, I specializes in full-face rejuvenation using a multifactorial approach that includes neurotoxins, facial balancing with dermal fillers, and skin-improving treatments to achieve natural, harmonious results.

My foundation in primary care continues to guide my aesthetic practice, allowing me to approach every patient thoughtfully and holistically while helping them reach their anti-aging goals safely and realistically.

Outside of the treatment room, I am fully devoted to my life as a wife and mother to three young sons, along with a dog, cats, and backyard chickens. In my free time, I enjoy cooking, baking, exercising, photography, and taking day trips with my boys and husband.

Shay Ange

I received my Bachelor’s degree in Spanish from the University of Oregon and my Master’s degree as a registered nurse from UCLA. I have bedside experience as a pediatric nurse with added floating experience to the NICU and mother baby. While caring for children and their families was a passion of mine, I decided to shift into aesthetics to better provide for my own family.

I value continued education and hard work in and out of the professional setting. I enjoy lacing creativity with evidence-based practices that illuminate new and improved ways to enhance overall physical and mental health.

Outside of nursing, I adore my new role as a mother and wife. I also enjoy staying fit with cycling, mountain biking, and skiing.

As a third generation Thousand Oaks local, I’m excited to help people of our community achieve their most powerful, confident selves with a natural approach to skin and beauty enhancements.

I am passionate about skin and helping achieve your healthiest skin and skincare routine.
My love of skincare comes from my own struggles as a teenager and into my early twenties with acne. That struggle really led me to focus on the medical grade and holistic world of esthetics to help number of skincare issues.


It is a journey not a race. I want people to feel great about themselves and practice self care because good skin is achievable at any age. Working with the experts at the face lab is a bonus for my clients! They offer free consultations for the med spa side of aesthetics!

Rachel

Hi, I’m Rachel, a licensed esthetician with nearly 10 years of experience, specializing in brows and lashes.  I love helping clients look polished, natural and effortlessly put together by enhancing what they already have.

My services include brow lamination, brow tinting, brow shaping and waxing, lash lifts, lash tinting, and custom lash extensions. I’m detail-oriented and take a personalized approach to every appointment, because no two faces—or goals—are the same.

I’m incredibly grateful to have built a full and loyal clientele over the years, and I take pride in being someone my clients trust and consistently return to. My schedule tends to stay busy, which I see as the biggest compliment, and  I love being part of my clients’ confidence routines .

Reba Newbill

I love to create holistic facials that blend advanced skincare, intuitive touch, and sound frequencies. My approach centers on lymphatic massage and sculpting techniques designed to support the skin’s natural functions while calming the nervous system and restoring balance throughout the body. Each treatment is a deeply personalized experience, inviting deep relaxation, renewal, and radiant skin from the inside out
